George E. Marema, of Oak Lawn, passed away on May 15 at the British Home in Brookfield. He was 88. George was a Forest Park resident in the 1930s. He served with the Army in World War II from 1942 to 1946 and fought in the Guadalcanal campaign. George was the son of the late Jake and Anna Marema; he was the brother of Alice and his late siblings Henrietta, William, Henry, Dorothy, Richard and Leroy; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
