On behalf of the All School Picnic Committee, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the chamber of commerce, the village, the park district and all the Forest Park schools for their continued support in providing a fun-filled day of activities for this year’s 38th Annual Bob Haeger All School Picnic.
The Committee would like to thank the PTOs and PTAs of the public and private schools for their annual donations, which helped offset the costs associated with the picnic.Ê We would also like to express our appreciation of the Forest Park Eagles and of Ultra Foods for their financial contributions.Ê These donations, along with the chamber’s annual support, helped make this year’s event a huge success.
A very special thank you to Ferrara Pan Candy Company and the Forest Park Community Education Council for their generous donations, which helped offset the cost of this year’s pony rides.ÊMany thanks to Sara Lee, for contributing hot dog buns; to Dean’s Ice Cream, for providing popsicles; and to Walmart, for supplying pop.
We are also grateful to Nadeau’s Ice Sculptures for their donation of two 300-lb. blocks of ice that were used to chill 3,000 cans of soda; and to Roy Strom Waste Services for their generous donation of a 20-yard roll-off dumpster that was used for clean-up.
We would also like to thank the police and fire departments for their continued cooperation and assistance; and all of the volunteers who helped in food distribution, ticket sales, supervision, recreational activities and entertainment.Ê They, along with the school teachers, are the backbone of this operation.ÊWithout that group of dedicated workers, an event of this size could not have taken place.
Finally, hats go off to the employees of the public works and public property departments; and the crews of the park district and school maintenance staffs, who perform the thankless job of picking up after others.Ê Within an hour everything was cleaned up, put away, and the park grounds were back in order.Ê The Committee would like to thank everyone involved in any way for their continued support and cooperation.
