Robert K. Flagg died on July 6, at the age of 59. He was a former Forest Park resident.

Flagg was born in Oak Park, and raised and educated in Forest Park.  Robert was inducted into the United States Army in 1971 and served during the Vietnam War, until he discharged in 1973. Robert was a member of the John Martin Steele VFW Post #6049 in Morris, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.  He was a patriot who collected flag and military memorabilia. 

Flagg is survived by his mother, Cora; his daughter, Dana Marcell; his two grandchildren, Taylor and Madison; his sister Deann (Anthony) Hierz; his two brothers, Bill (Maureen), and Richard; his nieces and nephews, Victoria, Mikie, Hannah and Maggie. 

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Arthur; his son, Robert; and his niece, Zena.

Services were held earlier in the week, and he was buried at the Abraham Lincoln Cemtery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., in Elwood.
