Best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Hart, for a happy future together. Mrs. Hart is the former Jennifer Close, daughter of Jack and Pat Close. This is certainly a banner year for Jennifer: her novel Girls in White Dresses was published and she was just wed. The Oct. 29 wedding took place in Sacred Heart Church, in Winnetka and the reception was held at the Chicago History Museum.
Esther Huebner is very proud of her grandson, Jake Brown, who is being honored at his Eagle Scouts Court of Honor Ceremony on Nov. 6. Jake has earned more than 40 merit badges and his special project for the Eagle award was, among other things, the full-color painting of a U.S. map at Saint Odilo’s parking lot in Berwyn. In case you’d like to see it, Saint Odillo’s is at 2301 Clarence Ave. in Berwyn.

Bill Gerst, Jason Entler, Dan and Nick Novak and Jamie and Cayden Cook are busy working on a 1927 Ford T-Bucket Roadster that has been resting in the Gerst garage for 35 years! It was purchased in 1977 by Bill’s late father. The young men are enthusiastic about this project and hope to have it ready for the 2012 Saint Patrick’s Day parade. You’ll likely be able to see it next summer, during Cruise Nights
