No costume. No candy.

I love Halloween and decorate my home, both inside and outside, and then look forward to seeing the little kids all dressed up.  But, what happened to wearing a costume when going trick or treating? 

So many of the people who rang our bell were teenagers who didnt have a costume and never said the words “Trick-or-Treat.”  Instead, they just stuck their bags out and waited for candy. 

When asked where their costumes were, some of the responses were: “I’m a nerd,” or “I’m a rock star”. 

We started a new policy in our home this year: No costume. No candy.
