June Karls, longtime resident of Forest Park, passed away on November 9, 2011 at the age of 90. She was married to the late Heinz Karls and is survived by her daughter, Kristi, and son-in-law, Yong Kwon, with whom she lived for the past 5 years in Virginia.
June loved animals and nature, and was an avid photographer. She also enjoyed working as a bookkeeper until she was 78.
A memorial service for June will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, April 14 at the Third Unitarian Church of Chicago, 301 N. Mayfield Ave, Chicago.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Third Unitarian Church or the Humane Society of the United States would be appreciated.
