Robert Dobbeck, age 88, lifelong resident of Forest Park, died April 15, 2012. Robert died in the same house he was born in, which his father designed and his grandfather built. Mr. Dobbeck was a Navy veteran having served on the USS Franks.
He was a longtime member at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forest Park. He is survived by his wife Doris (nee Herzfeldt) and his son William and daughter Susan, as well as four grandchildren. A visitation will be held Wednesday April 18, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Forest Park.
The funeral will be held Thursday, April 19 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 305 Circle Ave., Forest Park. Viewing will take place at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The interment will take place at the graveside with military honors at Woodlawn Cemetery also in Forest Park.
