Big moves are happening at Ferrara Pan Candy Co.
First, the newly re-minted candy company – formed by a merger with Roundlake, Minn.-based Farley’s & Sathers – announced plans to shutter the Minnesota offices and plant and an affiliated shipping company in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Chicago Real Estate Daily reported Monday that Ferrara Candy Co. has leased about 39,000 square feet of office space in the Oakbrook Terrace Tower development.
Randy Olczyk, who represented the company in the transaction, told Crain’s Chicago Business that Ferrara signed a 10-year lease for the 27th floor and part of the 25th floor of the commercial building in Oakbrook Terrace. He told Crain’s the space would be used for administration and sales. Farley’s & Sathers formerly operated offices in Chicago.
The company has been located in Forest Park since it refurbished an old Borden Dairy facility in the 1950s.
Sal Ferrara II, the company president, was not available for comment Monday.
