A free prescription discount card through Proviso Township is available at Forest Park Village Hall, said Village Administrator Tim Gillian. The Coast2Coast Rx card is used for a discount in lieu of insurance and can save up to 75 percent on prescriptions.
“It’s perfect if you’re a senior in the ‘donut hole’ of Medicare coverage, or for people with no insurance,” Gillian said.
All chain pharmacies and most independents accept the card, which even works with veterinary prescriptions. There are no income requirements and no limits on usage.
