Forest Park’s village council will vote on a proposal Tuesday for a new doggy destination designation: i.e. renaming the dog park at Circle and Lehmer. The proposed name? “Forest Bark Dog Park.”
The village’s Recreation Board suggested the name, as well as the tag phrase, “Big dog access, Small dog charm.”
The Rec Board also proposes using $2,500 in dog-park funds from the “Doggy Palooza” events from 2007-2009 to create a sign using the Village of Forest Park logo with two silhouettes of a large and small dog.
“We needed some substance for our parks,” said Jennifer Wolfe of the Rec Board. “We have a five-year plan to name them all.”
