The village council approved a $30,000 contract with Municipal Systems Inc., of Palos Heights, to install software to computerize the records of the Building Department. Fire Chief Steve Glinke, who is also head of the Dept. of Health and Safety, requested the funds to computerize building permit records during budget talks this summer, telling the council, “all of the building records for the past 60 years are written on index cards.”
MSI currently supports the Clerk’s office and maintains collection software for parking tickets and other violations.
