A delay in the Roos building auction means the Park District must wait a few more weeks until the foreclosure process is complete.File 2007

The Cook County Sheriff’s auction of the Roos property, 7329 W. Harrison St., has been delayed three weeks, according to the Park District of Forest Park. The auction, which had been scheduled for March 27, has been pushed forward to April 18.

Until the auction, BMO Harris Bank, N.A. still has only a judgment on the promissory note held by a development group led by Alex Troyanovsky.

After the auction, Harris Bank will have a clear title to the property, allowing it to be acquired by the park district, according to the park board’s attorney.

“The park district remains committed to acquiring the Roos property at a fair price based on the due diligence it has conducted and a tentative agreement with Harris on essential terms,” said park district Director Larry Piekarz in a press release.
