Printing and sign expenses for the Your Choice for Proviso school board slate have been paid for by the campaign account of former President Emanuel “Chris” Welch and the district’s attorneys, Del Galdo Law Group, Cook County Clerk documents show.
The Your Choice for Proviso committee is registered with two of the four candidates running together for Proviso Township High School District 209 School Board.
Cook County Clerk website documents list incumbent School Board President Dan Adams as chairman of the committee and candidate Teresa D. McKelvy as treasurer.
According to the website, Del Galdo Law Group, the district’s attorneys, paid $9,387.83 to McGaffer for a mailing to Proviso residents on March 20. The People for Emanuel “Chris” Welch committee paid $3,250 for lawn signs March 1, according to the website.
The Friends of Kevin McDermott campaign committee reported $3,745.98 in available funds at the committee’s creation date March 1. McDermott’s slate-partner Della Patterson appears not to have a campaign committee registered with the Illinois Board of Elections.
Not all campaign committee contributions are listed yet on the website. Committees have until April 15 (after the April 9 election) to comply with notification rules to list contributions.
