Only days after concealed firearm carry legislation was passed by the Illinois legislature, the names of Forest Parkers who have recently received firearms control card licenses have been listed on the Chicago Tribune’s Triblocal website.

The licenses, compiled by Chicago-based Journatic News Service, appear side by side with licenses for aestheticians, licensed practical nurses and real estate branch office licenses.

Forest Parkers listed who have been granted firearms control cards in May are Glenn A. Adams, Gary D. Hammond, Jose M. Huertas, Derryck Lovett and Jesse D. Dew. The licenses expire in 2016. Frederick E. Blacksmith was issued a firearm trainer license, according to Triblocal.

The firearms control license is required by people who carry a firearm for employment, such as security guards, but who are not sworn peace officers. The Illinois Deptartment of Financial and Professional Regulation maintains the licenses.

This article has been updated to clarify the definition of a firearms control card and the location of Journatic’s offices.
