Please accept my compliments on the article by Tom Holmes in the May 29 issue of the Review concerning service clubs in Forest Park. Sociological, economic, and demographic changes have been a challenge for many service clubs across our nation. That fact notwithstanding, it is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness. We are fortunate in Forest Park to have so many service clubs, each working in its own way to elevate the quality of life in our community. Contact information for most of these clubs can be found in the Review. I urge all residents of our community to call the identified club liaison and to attend a meeting. You will feel good about yourself as you do good deeds for others.
