Jack Turek has graduated from Marquette with a history degree and joined the U.S. Marine Corps.

And now, for the last time in the Review we present the Giglio family at the riotous party celebrating Theresa’s and Bob Crane’s faithful years serving the children of Forest Park at Grant-White and Garfield schools. Here’s to a great future, dear friends.

Grandparents Phil and Jan Jecman are proud to announce the birth of Abagail Meza on May 14th, 2013. Parents of the new baby are Jean Jecman Meza and Jorge Meza. Paternal grandparents are Jose of Lima, Peru and Maralinda.

Another proud grandma is Jaurie Coughlan, grandmother of Laura Hodges. Laura was featured in a full page Walmart ad in Glamor Magazine recently. Laura is involved with selling and other phases of beauty products.

Minnie Maxwell’s family and many friends are saddened to learn of her death June 1. Minnie’s funeral arrangements were not known at the time of this week’s Review. Our deepest sympathy to the family of this hard-working, amazing lady.

The committee of the former CUinFP decided this name was somewhat controversial since the title “Citizens United” has been used by many savory and unsavory groups. So a new name, clever and unique, was selected. VOx 60130, i.e; The voice of Forest Park is the new name. Every Forest Parker is welcome. Discussion, controversy and all sides of an issue are always on the agenda. Your opinion counts as much as the next guy’s.

Members of St. Bernardine parish gathered last Sunday, June 2, for a final farewell to the faculty of the school. Several parishioners spoke, the church was packed, bittersweet memories abounded. Good-byes are always heartbreaking.

Congrats to Ignatius grad and now Marquette grad Jack Turek, who was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps on May 31, in Milwaukee. He will attend The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, in October.

Long time Saint Bernardine members, Paul and Dorothy Fischer celebrated wedding anniversary number 45 on June 1. Their sons and daughters-in-law honored the couple with a lovely house party at the home of son Jim and his wife Jen. The rain didn’t dampen the occasion at all since the Jim Fischers have a huge back yard that was filled with tents so nobody got wet.
