St. William’s and the Forest Park varsity team played a tense and exciting game under cloudy skies on Saturday. Forest Park started off well. Clayton Davis and Maria Garcia passed the ball back and forth, which led to Forest Park scoring the first goal. But St. William’s kept the pressure on and the ball in the Forest Park zone. Determined to score, a St. William’s player shot the ball as hard as he could.Forest Park’s goalie, Trevor Meijer, dove to his left and made a great save.

Meijer received huge help from the Forest Park defenders. Jasmine Hoskins showed great footwork as she stole the ball from St. Williams’ players several times. On one play, John Armenta from St. Williams tripped over the ball but made a quick recovery to score. St. Williams pulled ahead 4-3. Forest Park tried hard to come back but ended up losing 5-3.
