Join the Historical Society of Forest Park for a special evening of Forest Park history as we unveil selections from the new book “Des Plaines River Anthology,” to be published by the Historical Society in October.Hear the poetic voices of the inhabitants of the cemeteries of Forest Park.
Renowned Chicago area authors Jay Bonansinga, Frances McNamara, Richard Lindberg, Katie Rufa, Amy Binns-Calvey and Diane Piron-Gelman — and more — will read excerpts from the new book chronicling voices from the inhabitants of Forest Park cemeteries. The vignettes will be staged again in October at the Park District. 7 p.m., Centuries and Sleuths Bookstore, 7419 Madison St, Forest Park. Goodwill donation suggested to the Historical Society of Forest Park.
