I just wanted to say a big thank you to the Forest Park Police Department. Moving away from Forest Park was not only emotionally difficult, it was almost logistically impossible because of our location on Des Plaines Avenue! Our moving company didn’t realize how hard it would be to deliver containers to us–or that they wouldn’t fit in the alley!–and if the police hadn’t been willing to come out and direct traffic for us a couple of times, we might have had a major crisis. I’ve always had a great relationship with the police department as a bartender and they were very kind and helpful when our car was broken into as well, but in this case they definitely went above and beyond, something that the representative from the moving company said hasn’t always happened in other towns. So thanks, men and women in blue! You serve our community well and I know I leave Forest Park in good hands!
