Heidi Ann Moll Schoedel, 52, of Oak Park, died June 27 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. She was born August 27, 1961, in Chicago.
As one of the co-founders of Exodus World Service, her faith led her to develop a Christian community to care for refugees coming to the U.S. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forest Park and a leader in the international Refugee Highway Partnership. Heidi was a brilliant woman with a heart of gold who showed love and compassion to everyone she met. She was a great leader and strategic thinker. She was daughter of Hans and Marcia Moll, sister to Debra (Dave) Hunter, Amy (Phil) Kispert and Emily (Kevin) Thomson and aunt to many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service was held July 2 at St. John Lutheran Church, Forest Park, with arrangements by Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home in Forest Park.
