Ruth M. Kurtz, 92, longtime resident of Forest Park, died Aug. 10. She was born in Chicago and lived for a time in Lombard but most of her life was spent in Forest Park. Her life revolved around her son and grandchildren. She worked as a grocery store cashier, Wieboldt sales clerk, and election judge.
She was the wife of the late John W. Sr., the mother of John W. Jr. (Marsha), grandmother of Kathleen (Christopher) Bara, John M. (Suzanna), Steven (Elizabeth) and Daniel (Katharine) Kurtz and great-grandmother of Anthony, Nathan and Lila. Funeral Mass was held at St. Bernardine Church, Forest Park Aug. 17 followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery with arrangements by Hursen Funeral Home.
