Anthony Earl Brown, 54, of Forest Park died Sept. 10. He was born in Chicago, to Basil and Edna Brown on September 21, 1958. Anthony attended St. Joachim Elementary School, Mt. Carmel High School and Eastern Illinois University. Anthony began his career in retail at the age of 16. His first job was at Richmond Brothers. Anthony was a very dedicated, self-mot

ivated hard worker, who very soon worked his way up to being store manager. During his career, Anthony has held store management positions at all of his employers. In his spare time Anthony truly enjoyed travelling and seeing the world, enjoying many places inside and outside the U.S.

An avid cook, Anthony enjoyed inventing new and creative recipes. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh. He enjoyed life to the fullest, always finding time to lend a hand to someone in need.

Anthony is survived by his mother Edna Brown, his siblings Beverly Grady, Ruth Bowens, Jeffrey Brown and Terry R. Kimber, his only child Tonirenee Shaw, two grandchildren, Trascan and Nyla Johnson, numerous nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law, Leon Bowens.

Anthony is predeceased by his father Basil and his brother Larry Basil Brown.

Anthony was a wonderful person who will always be loved and remembered by his family and friends. Services were held at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home. Interment Forest Home Cemetery.
