Cristina Arredondo, 16, of Forest Park will compete Sunday in the Miss Teen Chicago Pageant at the Theodore Roosevelt High School in Chicago Sunday, Oct. 27.
A junior at Proviso East High School, Arredondo plays on the Proviso Pirates Girls Varsity Volleyball Team and has played with the Forest Park Soccer Assn. for the past ten years. She is a National Honors Society member and has studied in Italy and France with a school travel-abroad program.
If Arredondo wins the pageant Sunday, she will win a three-foot trophy, a tiara, banner and a free trip to Orlando, Fla. to compete in the 2014 National Pageant Competition.
