If you want to watch the Forest Park Village Council and Plan Commission joint comprehensive plan workshop, you’ll need to change it on your calendar from Nov. 4 to Oct. 28.

Citing a light agenda for the council meeting on the 28, Mayor Anthony Calderone and Village Administrator Tim Gillian pushed the date of the workshop a week early.

The workshop will be a “carbon copy” of the one held by consultants Images, Inc. in July for a group of 17 volunteer stakeholders, Gillian said last week.

The July meeting consisted of two brainstorming sessions in small groups. The groups first identified the benefits and challenges of Forest Park. Then in a second session, the groups mapped out goals and objectives.

Participants this time will be only village council members and members of the plan commission. The meeting is open to the public.

Gillian, Calderone and other staff members attended the first meeting, but did not participate, Gillian said.

The rescheduled workshop will take place in the basement of village hall at 7 p.m., Oct. 28.
