Hooray for Catherine and Marie Ditto, mother and daughter, both in extremely great shape. Why? Because they are cyclists and just got back from cycling Door County.
November and December are filled with music and Christmas bazaars. Scarf Lady, Janet Paulin was disappointed when, after she had been given a table at one of the bazaars, she received a phone call the night before the bazaar telling her she “was not needed.” There were two other scarf tables.

Prairie State Veterinary Hospital had a Grand Opening-Thanksgiving-Hanukah-Christmas-Birthday party last Friday. The John Millers, longtime Forest Parkers, were there along with Sue McNamara and Sylvia Wilson. Tending “bar” (lemonade) was Bob Zimmer assisted by Val Camilletti. Unfortunately no dogs or cats were invited, including resident top dog, Luther.
While you’re out buying food for the Forest Park Food Pantry’s Thanksgiving collection, Lenore Koca’s State Farm insurance agency on Madison Street is collecting Thanksgiving food donations for the Worth Township Food Pantry. Show some love, Forest Park.

There is an ongoing Christmas Bazaar in LaGrange at the Art League located at 22 Columbia Court. The hours are 10 a.m.-5p.m.
There is a concert at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 315 Circle Avenue, at 3 p.m. .Sunday, Nov. 17. Don’t Lutherans always give us great music? And I’m sure you already have your ticket for the Boar’s Head Festival on Dec. 14 and 15 at Saint John.
Also on Dec. 14 there is another Christmas Bazaar at the 19th Century Club in Oak Park. Hours are from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. . You may be lucky enough to pick up one of Janet Paulin’s prize winning scarves! Hurry before the prices go up. You’ll still have time to get to the concert at Saint John.
