Forest Park Fire Chief Steve Glinke issued a warning Thursday that fake phone solicitors were calling Forest Parkers seeking donations on behalf of the Forest Park Fire Department.
The department received complaints that a male caller, identifying himself as a Forest Park Firefighter named “Tim O’Halloran” was asking citizens for donations and credit card numbers.
“This solicitation is a scam,” Glinke said in a statement. “It is in no way sanctioned by the Village of Forest Park or the Fire Department.”
