The Illinois Liquor Control Commission released a report on an underage drinking sting that took place Nov. 21 before Thanksgiving week.
In partnership with Forest Park police, agents from the Illinois Liquor Control Board visited 12 Forest Park establishments.
“Three of the licensees sold to underage customers,” said spokeswoman Susan Hofer.
The three were USA Beverage, 7200 Madison St., Doc Ryan’s, 7432 Madison St. and McGaffer’s, 7737 W. Roosevelt Rd., Hofer said.
Forest Park Detective Sgt. Michael Keating said last week seven citations were issued, and Hofer said it was possible Forest Park officers independently ticketed other establishments. Keating declined to identify the bars involved.
Establishments caught serving a minor can be fined up to $750, he said.
The sting is ongoing Keating said.
