Betsy Ross students have been working on winter and holiday themed learning. The students at all grade levels have worked hard to produce fantastic winter writing, including comparing and contrasting themselves on snowman venn diagrams, filling out Elf applications, writing about reindeer, and telling what they would do if Santa got stuck in their chimneys. First grade spent an afternoon working on all academic areas with their Grinch Day. They even spent 30 minutes solving difficult math word problems, but it felt like playing because of their exciting theme. Mrs. Seery’s annual Winter Workshop was a success, and the children were able to create and wrap gifts for their families. The entire second grade worked very hard to make their annual Winter Concert perfect. Family and friends enjoyed the show, organized by our music teacher, Mrs. Binder, with help from the second grade teachers, Mrs. Bork, Mrs. Sorkin, and Mrs. Seery.
