Former Oak Park/Forest Park, Illinois resident Geraldine “Gerrie” Bukovack died February 15, 2014 in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
Gerrie was born May 11, 1929 and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Mary Beth Bukovack of Palm Coast, Florida; her daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and John Clark of Oak Park, Illinois; and precious grandchild and her husband Jacqueline and Timothy Arnieri of Brookfield, Illinois. Aunt Gerrie also leaves many special nieces and nephews and her regular letters made each of them feel special. Gerrie was blessed to have a large extended family as well and her wit and humor endeared her to each of them.
After a long career in business Gerrie used her talents to work with many service organizations. She dedicated her time and held various officer positions in them all. In later years she loved reading, long drives, playing Canasta and puzzles. Fourth of July was spent as the Matriarch of an extended family that was very dear to her. Christmas was a time to give a silly gift and enjoy the laughter when they were opened. Sundays were either spent in church or watching her beloved Green Bay Packers.
Gerrie was preceeded in death by her husband Stephen, her parents and her half-brother Dennis Shimkus.
