Herbert William Jacobson, 93, formerly of Forest Park, died March 5, at Parkway Manor in Marion. Herbert was born April 2, 1921 in Mt. Greenwood, to Carl Anton and Alice Marie (Nordstrom) Jacobson. He married Juanita Sylvia Genga on September 16, 1950 at University of Chicago Chapel. She preceded him in death.
Herbert proudly served in the Army Air Corp as a Tech Sergeant from 1941-1944. He was a Lithographer for Superior Graphics for 40 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Senefelders Lithography Group, Chicago Litho Club and the Fraternal Order of the Moose, all of Chicago.
Survivors include, two sons and daughter-in-law, Neal Herbert (Carol) Jacobson of De Soto, and Alan Herbert Jacobson of Carbondale; two grandchildren, Eric Jacobson of De Soto, and Nathan (Sarah) Jacobson of Blue Springs, Mo.; two great grandchildren, Lincoln and Tatum Jacobson of Blue Springs, Mo; four nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Ruth Elizabeth Mason and Bernice Helen Olsen.
