Larry Braniff formerly of Forest Park, 69, died in Jeffersonville Ind. on March 17, 2014. He was born Dec. 9, 1944 in Wilmington, Del. to Larry and Elizabeth Braniff.
He graduated from SIU (Carbondale) in 1966 and moved to Macomb, Ill. before settling in Forest Park in 1978.
The following year Braniff found a teaching home at St Bernardine’s here in Forest Park. Braniff taught Gym and Music and was the coach for all boys and girls teams.
In 1993 Braniff left for Chicago Public Schools and worked until retirement seventeen years later.
Larry’s survivors include four children, Patrick (Kathleen), Shawn (Kellee), Candie (Dave), Erin (Gary), also grandchildren Cassandra, Elizabeth, Evan, Kristina, Megan, Shauna, Tiffani, Brianna and one great grandchild Landen.
