Edward F. Woods, age 78, Native of County Monaghan, Ireland, and longtime resident of Forest Park, died April 2. He was a 36-year member of Laborers Local #4. He was husband of Catherine, (nee Durkan), father of Rose (Bradley) Bottorff, Edward Jr. (Laura), James (Qualita Diazllanos) and Catherine Woods. He was grandfather of Owen and Connor Bottorff, Allison and Jack Woods, Tyler Lepsi and Kent and Keegan Woods. He was uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Rose, four sisters and three brothers. Visitation will take place Friday, 3 – 8 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. until time of funeral 9 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at Saint Bernardine Catholic Church, Forest Park. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
