In this week’s installment of our coverage of Triton College we close the circle between the absurd pay raises handed out last month to top administrators and the ongoing political contributions those same staffers have made over years to the elected trustees, and, most generously to Chairman-for-Life Mark Stephens.
We get it. Stephens is a political creature. He was raised to be one by his dad, Don Stephens of Rosemont. And he nurtured his own fiefdom at Triton. So when Stephens tells us he has no idea who contributes to his campaign fund, that he never looks at the D-2’s we suspect he might be fibbing. OK, we’re sure he’s fibbing.
