John M. Johnson, 95, of Oak Park died April 27, 2014. He was a WWII decorated Navy veteran who served in the South Pacific. He was a St. Bernardine parishioner. He was husband of the late Josephine M. and father of Jacqueline (Joseph) Schnitzer and the late Josephine M. He was grandfather of seven and great grandfather of seven. He was brother of the late Joseph, Russell, Eileen, George, Thomas and Edward. Visitation takes place Wednesday April 30 3-9 p.m. at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home 7319 W. Madison St., Forest Park. Funeral will take place Thursday, May 1 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Bernardine Church where Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Forest Home Cemetery.
