Philip M. Colin, 55, a lifelong resident of Forest Park left this life on May 5. Phil enjoyed his life to the fullest cycling, canoeing, kayaking, camping, fishing, photography and playing guitar. Having been a faithful Northwestern football and basketball fan, he cheered on the team at many games with his brother Ron, sister-in-law Kathy and friends. He was a computer programmer by trade having received his Associate’s Degree from Triton College. He shared his knowledge of computers by volunteering at the Forest Park Public Library.
Phil leaves behind his mom, Marilyn Colin, brother, Ron (Kathy) Colin, sister, Janice (Stan) Kocanda He was uncle of Amanda, Zach and Matt. He was nephew of John (Susan) Colin and Phil (Chris) Colin. He will be missed by many cousins. Phil is in joyful reunion with his dad, Hank Colin and grandparents, Henry and Lola Colin and Clarence and Theresa Barnes. Memorial Visitation takes place Wednesday May 14, between 4-7 p.m. at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, Forest Park, where a Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
