A Forest Park man riding a bicycle was killed after he was struck by a car in the 1400 block of Harlem Avenue around 10:32 p.m. on June 1. Jeffery A. Schultz, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Schultz allegedly fled the scene. The car was found unoccupied nearby in Berwyn, said Forest Park police.

“Investigators are currently searching for the offender and are working on a number of leads,” said Commander Ken Gross.
