Jeffrey A. Schultz, 40, Forest Park, formerly of Oak Park and Bloomington, died June 1 in Forest Park after being struck by an auto while riding his bicycle.
A celebration of life is planned for July 19. Memorials may be made to the Central Illinois Humane Society, where his two beloved cats came from.
Jeff was born July 19, 1973, in Pontiac, the son of Ronald and Veronica Steidl Schultz. His parents survive in Bloomington.
Also surviving are his brother, Dennis (Mary Ann Shelton) Schultz, Normal; his girlfriend, Rachel Decker; stepgrandmother, Marilyn Schultz, Bourbonnais; 10 aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle.
Jeff graduated from Bloomington High School in 1991 and from Heartland Community College in 2001 in computer aided design. Jeff worked most of his career for Sears corporate and Office Max in the design and drafting department.
Jeff enjoyed playing euchre, running marathons, bicycling, skydiving, scuba diving, music, being a DJ for events and gardening, and he had many friends.
