Dorothy A. Pankau, 98, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2014. Dorothy loved the Lord, and was a child of God. She was born, raised and worked in Chicago, her beloved city. Dorothy spent her time taking care of her mother, and her aunt and uncles. She loved gardening, arts and crafts, baking, and everything that brought enjoyment to everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mabel; her sister, Evelyn and husband, Jim; her uncles, Joe and Larry; and her aunt, Hazel. Dorothy is survived by her niece, Susan Hermes, and husband John; nephews, Nick Hermes and wife Barbara, and Peter Hermes. The family gives great thanks to the staff of Concordia forloving, Christian care to Dorothy for all of these years.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 16 at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, 2424 NW 50th St. OKC, OK.
Dorothy will be laid to rest in the Concordia Cemetery, in Forest Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, or the charity of your choice.
