John “Hag” Hagedorn, 71, died August 21, 2014. He was born Feb. 13, 1943. He was the beloved father of Jennifer (Tim) Farley of Lafayette, Indiana, and Jamie Pace of Palatine, Illinois; loving “Papa John” to Jolee Edge and Aysia Farley, caring ex of Jackie Stern Goodman, and forever best friend of the late John Gill. Hag was teacher (formerly fourth grade, inner city), entrepreneur (owned several pharmacies), a bowler extraordinaire, and longtime softball coach. He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need, and lived life on his own terms. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Services are private.
