While I commend government efforts to lessen flooding damage, residents must expect bigger and bigger rainfalls (and snowfalls) in the future. That’s because glaciers and icebergs are melting, and all of that moisture must come down somewhere, often in huge amounts. It was Forest Park’s turn to suffer at the end of August. Climate change, with its cleanup drudgery and expense, has come to our town.
