From the 1960’s until 2010, there wasn’t any meaningful healthcare reform in America. The Affordable Care Act changed all this, and it already has generated huge economic benefits.  Earlier this year, the Congressional Budget Office updated its budget for Medicare spending and found that due to healthcare reform the federal budget has been reduced by $750 million.

Politicians like Senator Dick Durbin helped pass this much needed reform. Thanks to Senator Durbin, and others like him, we’re saving millions of dollars and helping every American get fair healthcare coverage.

I think that every Illinoisan should head to the polls this week, and up to Nov. 4, to vote for candidates like Durbin who fight for making our healthcare more affordable.
