COURTESY OF MAYWOOD FINE ARTS ASSOCIATION

Maywood, IL- Maywood Fine Arts (MFA) will host a free performance by the Chicago Community Classical Guitar Ensemble on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at 3 p.m. at their MFA Building, 25 N. 5th Ave, Maywood. MFA’s very own guitar teacher Jose Lomeli is a member and joins an ensemble of guitarists from all walks of life. Most have professions outside of music, some are full-time students, and a few are professional musicians and teachers.  All share a love for the instrument and enjoy the challenges and rewards of working together in an ensemble.  The ensemble was formed in 1997 by Ensemble Director & VanderCook College faculty, Dr. Julie Goldberg. They play at festivals and venues across the state.

In addition to the ensemble’s performance, a select number of MFA students will join the ensemble for their last song. MFA invites all to come and enjoy this free event.

MFA’s mission is to provide affordable, quality arts and fitness education that will enrich the lives of children in Maywood and surrounding communities! For more information please contact Katherine Bus at 708-220-1070 or atmaywoodfinearts@yahoo.com.
