Frank J. DeSonia, 65, of Forest Park died Dec. 1. Frank was born Feb. 4, 1949. He was the husband of Della (neé Ryan). He was father of Tara, Sylvia (Luke) Flood, Anna, Frank and Mary and grandfather of Della Flood. He was brother of Michael, Todd, Mary Ann and Lois.
Frank was proud to call Forest Park home for the last 22 years, where he and his wife raised their children. He greatly enjoyed volunteering BINGO, cooking for the annual spaghetti dinner and other fundraising activities and always being available to help out at St. Bernardine’s school and church. He was happiest when he was working hard to support his family and when he got to spend time with his granddaughter. He will be missed by so many around Forest Park, including the squirrels of the 1500 block of Marengo, which he was very fond of feeding his amazing cooking to. A funeral Mass took place Dec. 5 at St. Bernardine Catholic Church 7246 W. Harrison St. with arrangements by Zimmerman Harnett of Forest Park. Interment was private.
