Jack Vally Christell, 93, of Forest Park, died February 1, 2015. He was the husband of Shirley (Quenzer) for 69 years.

Jack served in the Army in WWII in the South Pacific Theater and received the Purple Heart Medal. He was a tool-and-die maker and sheet metal worker in the Chicago area and was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He loved traveling, camping and fishing along with bird watching, bird carving and lapidary work. 

Jack is survived by three children: Lance (Carol), Roy (Terry) and Valerie (Suzanne); four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will take place Feb. 7 at noon with Visitation from 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Church, Randolph and East Avenue in Oak Park. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Church.
