To give Forest Park voters a chance to get to know the people looking to move Forest Park forward, Commissioner Chris Harris is gathering candidates seeking key offices on the April 7th ballot on February 17th at Amelia’s in the Park located at 7330 Harrison St.
“I think it’s a perfect way to ask the questions you may have or just a chance to have that casual conversation to get to know someone better,” said Commissioner Harris. “Amelia’s is under new ownership, so it’s a chance to help out the new owners, let residents to sample the new menu and find out what some of the town’s candidates are all about. The location is right in the middle of town and has parking, so it’s ideal from a logistical standpoint. Light appetizers will be served and there will also be a cash bar.”
Confirmed attendees are: Mayoral Candidate Chris Harris, 209 Board Candidates Nathan ‘Ned’ Wagner, Claudia Medina and Theresa Kelly as well as Forest Park Commissioner Candidate Daniel Novak.
Invitations were also extended to Commissioner Candidates Joseph Byrnes, who as of press time has not responded, and Rachell Entler, who will be unable to attend due to a previous engagement.
“We wanted to be inclusive in our invitations, so residents could meet the key candidates in contested races, people who are putting themselves out there for the first time or running for new offices.” Harris added, “There just aren’t enough opportunities for voters to have a conversation and meet the candidates.”
