Bernard C. “Barney” Woods Jr., 60, of Berwyn, formerly of Forest Park, died recently after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a carpenter by trade and the sole owner of Barney’s Doors & More. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and former member of Midwest Vans Limited.
Barney Woods was the husband of Kathy M. (nee Parks) and the late Cathy Ann (nee Gecic); father of Kelly Woods; grandfather of Christopher and Taegan; brother of Margaret (Garrett) Curran, James (Karol) Woods, Karen (Gerald Collins), John (Karen) Woods, Mike (Terri) Woods and Bridget (Robert) Dowdle; and the uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Bernard C. and Elizabeth J. Woods (nee Clark).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. A chapel service will be held at 7 p.m.
