Daniel Novak

I want to thank the Forest Park Review for endorsing me in the upcoming election.  Running as the only true independent in the village commissioner race, I am humbled by the overwhelming amount of support I have received from family, friends, neighbors, and the community. It is confirmation that our village is ready for change, and our residents are looking for a way to be heard.

I run on a simple platform and purpose: Engage our residents and business owners, be the independent choice and voice for our stakeholders, seek to continuously improve and enhance our community while encouraging our village government to be an efficient and effective place of public service and business, and give back to the community I call home.

The last few months I, along with my family, have enjoyed connecting with the people of Forest Park. They have welcomed us on their front porches, encouraged us to place signs in their yards, and have engaged in some important conversations on the future of our village.

As a lifelong resident, it has been great to meet new groups of citizens, reconnect with those from my past, and rally with constituents looking to get involved in our community. The residents and people of this town have a lot to say, and most importantly they are looking for a way for their voice to be heard.

I am their answer and, if given the opportunity, will take this responsibility seriously.  Our village officials need to be accessible, accountable, and transparent to our residents.

Change begins with one person. On April 7, I hope to be chosen as that person. If elected, I look forward to serving with the other elected officials. It only takes one person to make a difference and I vow to Forest Park to be that one.
