Field-Stevenson teachers integrate hands-on modeling to help promote a greater depth of understanding mathematical concepts. The third grade students enjoyed building marshmallow polyhedra and counting sides, faces and vertices. Hands-on activities allow students to present, interpret, communicate, and connect mathematical information and relationships.
