The Forest Park Middle School Class of 2015 crossed the stage at Dominican University last night at 7:00pm. The 89 young men and women are scattering next to year to public and private schools all over the state and, in some cases as far away as Maryland and Georgia. Class valedictorian Julio Luna-Pina got the ceremony off to a humorous start. Mayumi Pascual and Sumeja Hodzic tag teamed their speech, looking back over their experiences in middle school. Maura Flanagan took a moment to thank family, friends and faculty for all their support throughout the journey and Michaela Dennis paused to look ahead at all the wonderful things this class might do for the world. The ceremony ended with a brief thank you and tribute the three retiring members of the Forest Park Middle School faculty: David Weinstein, Mary Norge-Drent and Cherie Bussert.

To quote both Dr. Suess and Michaela’s speech, Class of 2015–You’ll move mountains! Congratulations and have a wonderful, relaxing summer before you begin your next great adventure.
