Math Enrichment Group Publishes a Book!

Mrs. Emond, our primary math specialist, and Mr. Quirk, our second grade instructional assistant, have been working with a math enrichment group throughout the year. As a year-end project, the students produced a book of their own word problems that you can find here: http://www.storyjumper.com/book/index/19878698/A-Book-of-Math-Stories-to-Solve#. The students met after school, and had to produce a problem that they could solve themselves. As you can see, these students worked very hard not just on this project now, but on their higher level math skills all year long.

Copies of the book will become part of the second grade classroom libraries, the school library, and a copy will follow them to Field-Stevenson next year. Great work, students! Thank you to Mrs. Emond and Mr. Quirk for their guidance and support!
